Hiren's BootCD 9.8 info
Boot disks link
Ultimate Boot CD v4.1.1 link
About any *nix install CD or DVD.
Most Windows install CDs (Win 2k will get you into WinXP, for instance. Apple OS X is the same, I imagine.)

CF, great links,

I am adding them in as a separate section as they are not vendor specific.

Apparently Arcabit (Polish company) also offers boot CD, called ArcaNix ( http://www.arcabit.p...9/lang,english/ ). I haven't tested it myself, it appears to be available for free.

There's also a ClamAV LiveCD ;) (uses the older .94 release, but there's a script available for Linux users to automagically upgrade it - gonna check it myself and see if I can get an ISO available with the latest release on it);

Not really an AVG fan, but another one for the list maybe?

AVG Rescue CD

Quote

Apart from the usual AVG functions (malware detection and removal, updates from internet or external device, etc.), the AVG Rescue CD also contains the following set of administration tools:

  • Midnight Commander - a two-panel file manager
  • Windows Registry Editor– simple registry editor for more experienced users
  • TestDisk - powerful hard drive recovery tool
  • Ping - to test the availability of network resources (servers, domains, IP addresses)
  • Common Linux programs and services– vi text editor, OpenSSH daemon, ntfsprogs etc.
