I like how it works but seems to stop working on me like right now it is not working at all or I am not seeing the overlay. I works at first and then it stops or the overlay that shows it's working no longer shows up till I close Firefox and open it again. But it stops to soon after starting it and it did it last night and this morning and unless I am missing a setting it would be nice to know what's going on so I know it's working.

Start Firefox and click "File -> Open File" and open the file "C:\Program Files\KeyScrambler\getting_started.html". Click on the installation link within and you'll be prompted to install "keyscrambler.xpi".

Now the "keyscrambler.xpi" is the add-on and that is already installed and already shows up.
I know it can reinstalled so will do it. Darn I had installed it and now it stopped working on the words in this line.

Next, FF prompted me if I will allow the installation of the keyscrambler xpi file. I clicked "Install" button.
The installer prompted me to close FF after the add-on manager of FF finished installing the Personal edition. I close FF then the installerprompted me to restart or later, I restarted the test system.
Next, the getting_started.html file opens in IE, the icon of Keyscrambler show up. It *disappear when I closed IE which is normal since IE is no longer running.
Next, I opened FF, it showed the add-on has been installed successfully, the icon of KeyScramber appear again. I closed FF, the icon of Keyscrambler is *gone, since FF is closed.
I re-opend FF and there the overlay appear and the icon.
Hewee, when I installed it... I have no browser running and I did not use the one from Mozilla add-on site. The vendor of the program is not pointing their users to it, for some reasons (maybe because the add-on site of Mozilla only allow xpi files instead of exe files?)
I think if you want this add-on, you can try again to remove the program. Restart the computer. Install only using the executable which is v2.4 from:
http://download.com/...4-10571274.html
http://www.pcworld.c...nloads/file/fid,...escription.html
*The icon will disappear if FF or IE is not running. This apply only to Personal edition but not to Pro or Plus edition in which the icon is always in the notification area.

When I open Firefox I get the overlay that says "this program is protected" and if I am typing here or any place in Firefox it shows the overlay and the overlay shows scramble letter/numbers etc like it should. But then it can just stop showing the overlay. The icon by the clock is green and it says it is On but should not the overlay always show so I know it is working?

You can turn off the overlay, if you change the settings so only the icon will show. When you let Keyscrambler to use only the icon, the icon should show also the scrambler letter, one by one though since the icon is small.
Overlay will disapper when you're not typing.
It is working if:
1. The protected program is running and you are seeing the icon
2. The protected program is running and while you are typing, the overlay or the icon will show the scramble characters (depends on your settings)
3. The processes of keyscrambler is running

I have it so it is to show the overlay but the overlay can just stop showing up.
I was at Hotmail and did a nice long email and it worked all the way tru. I then when to check gmail and it stopped working.
May the java script or some at some sites is having an effect on it. Like now I see the green icon but that's it. With just the icon showing only I do not see any scrambler letter, one by one show up either.
So on the 3 thing you listed 2 is what is not working right.
I will change it to just a tray icon to see what happen and I just now did it and do not see anything but again if it is not working right it will not show just like the overlay will not show because something is stopping it.
I will cost Firefox down and open it again to see how the tray icon works.

BTW, I restarted the XP system again and the activation window appear again, I clicked the Close button again to continue using the program as trial and it's again, working.

Program is protected. Scramble keys is working. Icon and overlay is shown, when no key is activated or entered.
