@ Rui,

I forgot to ask if the updater is 64bit compatible.
If not let me know and I will help test on Vista 64bit. :)

Rui, I had problems on 64bit.

I didn't get an option for noinstall.
I may have messed up myself. I didn't run exe as admin and got the following with no UAC alert.
Also I could not get app to load in systray after reboot.

I think there is a false positive in your block list. All my imageshack images are no longer visible when I have your blocklist activated in Kaspersky. However, kaspersky does not report which one is blocking it. It says the following:

16/09/2009 05:17:42 Denied: us Opera Internet Browser http://img10.imagesh...rtificates2.jpg User black list

It is not just that website though, any website ending with .us is blocked. The denied says which value is blocking it...and for some reason its acting like I have put .us in there. Now obviously, an easy workaround is just to add imageshack.us to the white list (because I don't visit any .us sites generally speaking)...however I did think you might want to know.

The only time this starts to work though, is when I disable the Black list...so I am assuming its something you guys put in there and it resolved incorrectly?

Anyone know how I can narrow it down further? Anyone else finding the same thing? Or am I the only one using it on Kaspersky lol.

Let me try that in my KIS here. No problem in using OP/OA. I can see imageshack images and some .us site while using blocklist in OA/OP.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll check this out and write back :)

The installer is a temporary one while I work on the real one. It just extracts the files to a selected folder, no uninstaller is created and no changes are made to the system.

Also I could not get app to load in systray after reboot.

To set the updater to run for all users, admin privileges are needed. The program doesn't request for elevation when needed yet.

Sorry I'm a little last on your reply but I also got the same error when I tried using just single user.
Do I need to run as admin on it too?

I don't use my Vista laptop often (soon to be Windows 7) on which I have Online Armor and CoU IP Blocklist updater. I'm sure in the first version that when I checked Start CoU IP Blocklist updater when Any user logs in the instruction was maintained. Was I imagining this or has the option not been implemented ? The setting is not retained when checked on exit.

Sorry Tim for the late reply. Somehow I missed your post.

No, auto-start for the current user shouldn't require admin privileges.

It is supposed to work, at least it does here.

Thanks for the replies Donna and Rui but I can't get it to retain the checkmark for either any user/current user logs in
When I select 'Preferences' again after placing a checkmark > OK the checkmark has gone. I've even set 'Run as administrator' although I'm the only user with only one account.

Any thoughts, corrupt download ? :duh:

I think I've identified the problem. If I'm correct, this problem should be fixed in 0.3.

Donna: The Kaspersky problem is still happening. So I have created a PDF of the steps (on a clean virtual PC). Also the COU updater thing does not appear to download the update list. I thought if I document my steps you could have a look and see if I am going wrong somewhere? Thanks :)

I've determined what's wrong with the updater and will be fixed in the next version.

Thanks for reporting it.

@Rui, thanks for taking care of the updater re: Kaspersky issue.

@Weasel, I'm on that issue of anti-banner in KAV with IP Blocklist. When I tested it the few days ago, I figured that the way KIS handles the blocklist is not the same at all, as how Outpost and Online Armor is blocking (which is why only with KIS/IP Blocklist the issue with imageshack.us existed and not with the other firewall programs). I'll be doing work-aroud on this for Kaspersky/IP Blocklist and will be available in this week's update :)
Thanks, again!
